Build a case for impeaching Cheney first!
Before there can be any serious move to remove Bush it seems obvious to me that Cheney must forced out first. Historically, I can only imagine what the country would have been like if Agnew's resignation had not preceded Nixon's. President Agnew? It was too unthinkable.

Unfortunately, I do not think he is going to resign unless forced removal is imminent. Start making the legal case now.

1. It Shouldn't Be Hard To Build A Case
there is plenty of evidence out already. Start with the PNAC, the downing Street Memo and his energy meetings. All they need to do is start investigating. And they better hurry up, time is running short.

4. Actually you first discover evidence of crimes
through an open-ended and thorough investigation of the events of the last six years. That investigation will lead to either nothing much (not very likely) or a long list of people who need to be charged with very serious crimes. If some of those people are currently holding federal offices that would make criminal prosecution difficult, then they need to be politically impeached and convicted so that they can be removed from office and then charged within the normal criminal process.

What you do not do is set out to get this guy or that guy for reasons of political expedience. That would be an act of vengeance, and a manipulative dishonest act of vengeance at that.

Do not look to the Nixon affair for how to do things right, that was one fucked up compromised process that ended up sweeping most of the worst crimes committed by that vile regime right under the carpet, directly setting the stage for the dire mess we are in now.
