Is Bob Graham physically able-bodied enough to run for Vice-President in '08 ?

He's a few months younger than John McCain. I just think he's been under utilized and if the nominee is Obama (my guy of the so-called "frontrunners", IE the only candidates the media is covering) he might be an even better match than someone like Clark. They'd have to give up even quicker on the "experience" distraction and appeal to the most loyal voting block, senior citizens.

His monumental shame of having a notebook quirk is even more of a bullshit reason of something that would supposedly hurt him as Obamas scary name.

I think of all the possibilities I like Obama, Gore and Clark.

(which is something I *like* I want the folks driving policy to be policy wonky!) - He is more moderate than I - but in a very intelligent eg figuring out the pros and ocns of different policies and acting/voting accordingly - and very principled. I like Bob Graham. He would strengthen the ticket if the top person is perceived to have an 'experience' deficit.

Bob Graham is a great man and I admired how he voted against IWR, but he's just way too old and he's been running into some health problems over the past few years.

heart problems are one of the worst medical maladies you can have as a politician, especially if you're in a line of succession.

...he's perfectly healthy. His heart surgery was before he ran for president, and to the best of my knowledge there hasn't been any further problems.
He recently was teaching government as a fellow at Harvard, I don't think he is any more. IIRC, he's currently trying to found schools of government at couple Fla universities (UF? and ?).

IMO, he was probably the most qualified of the '04 presidential candidates, but probably the least electable. He is a policy wonk, knows government inside and out, but just doesn't generate an excitement among national voters. Well known and respected in Fla, not well known elsewhere. He would be an excellent Vice-President, but probably a so-so Vice-Presidential candidate. Partnered with a popular and electable, but slightly inexperienced Presidential candidate (like Obama) might be a pretty good partnership.

I've always admired Bob Graham. He was so amazing when he was Florida Governor and Senator (D) for Florida. He stood up and spoke out against Iraq War. If he's a good shape and wants to run in '08, then I'd go for him if Al Gore isn't running, but I highly doubt it.
