I feel that Coulter deserves to be fought on the basis of her actions and ideas, not on the basis of what her body looks like. Or, to put it differently, I also feel that Nancy Pelosi deserves to be praised on the basis of her actions and ideas, not on how nice her hair looks or whether she looks good for a lady her age or wore a red dress. I feel the same about men. Rush Limbaugh's big belly isn't any more relevant than Obama's taut tummy. In any case, I'd like to think that progressives are smart enough and caring enough to choose their words well, so that they achieve the intended effect without causing collateral damage.

Now, to try to answer the question I think you're really asking: Yes, I do tend to answer the "Mann Coulter" remarks more frequently than the others. It's an issue that is close to home for me. Everyone picks his or her own dearest issues, and this is one of mine.

The big difference between the bloods and crips in California is that they are not hurting many people who are not in their gangs. Neither the bloods or the crips are blowing up hospitals, library, schools, stores, and/or corner markets just to kill each other. In addition, the bloods and the crips are not kidnapping inicient people, holding them as captives, and then beheading them and cutting off their private parts. Furthermore, as far as I know the bloods and the crips are not killing hundreds of their own people or killing one or more soldiers a day. Beyond that the bloods and crips are not causing billions of dollars of damage to the city of L.A. a day.

Finally, the real problem with Ann Coulter's comment is that their is some idiot out thier who will agree with what she said. The will not be able to see the differences in what is going on in L.A. and what is going on in Iraq.

The Bloods and Crips called for a truce in 1992 in L.A. and 1994 in other cities. They were influenced by the Rodney King riots and other community activists like Jim Brown who help broker the truce.

So, following her logic we should have had someone try and broker a peace deal between them.

Either way Ann, this administration messed up every opportunity they had.

How did we miss the killing of 34,000 crips and bloods and the killing of 12,000 LA cops in 2006?
