Perhaps he got the message.

than I do for the "leaners", "unknowns", and "refused-to-answer"s!

8. Well, Rep. Tom Davis, VA has no opinion apparently. But
Jim Webb, of course, is against the escalation. And John Warner, of course, if for it.

But Mary Landrieu and William Jefferson are opposed. I was pleasantly surprised by Landrieu.

10. I didn't even need to look at this to know
that those idiots Don Young and Ted Stevens would be supporting the escalation. For Lisa Murkowski it says "refused to answer," which leads me to believe that she's leaning toward opposition. She is much more moderate and reasonable than the other two.

14. My Senators are great

....my Representative is a POS.

Yesterday I called Melissa Bean's office and was given a lovely non-committal answer, today she is listed as undecided. We in the 8th district know what that means...she voting the dark side AGAIN.

However Durbin and Obama rock!

Cheers

15. Error on this list: Markey (D-MA) strongly opposes escalation
From the LATimes, 1/11/07
Article by Noam N. Levey and Nicole Gaouette

Meanwhile, Massachusetts Democrats Sen. Edward M. Kennedy and Rep. Edward J. Markey were lining up co-sponsors for their bills, which would go even further and cut off funds for an Iraq troop buildup.

I think having a bill that calls for cutting the funding counts as opposing.

19. Our Dem Senators to call
Edited on Thu Jan-18-07 06:56 PM by Zodiak Ironfist
Lincoln (refused to answer), Johnson (unknown),

Carper, Conrad, Ben Nelson (lean oppose)...not bad, but we can do better.

And of course...

Leiberman (support)

So, let's pull out the bottom end of my tally of Democrats (an pseudo-Democrats like Leiberman) and see where they fall.

Cantwell (Washington) DLC 48.27586207
Stabenow (Michigan) DLC 46.55172414
Kohl (Wisconsin) DLC 44.82758621
Feinstein (California) DLC 44.82758621
Leiberman (Connecticut) DLC 44.82758621
Rockefeller (West Virginia) 41.37931034
Conrad (North Dakota) DLC 41.37931034
Baucus (Montana) DLC 39.65517241
Carper (Deleware) DLC 34.48275862
Johnson (South Dakota) DLC 31.03448276
Lincoln (Arkansas) DLC 31.03448276
Salazar (Colorado) DLC 24.13793103
Pryor (Arkansas) DLC 22.4137931
Nelson (Florida) DLC 20.68965517
Landrieu (Louisianna) DLC 17.24137931
Nelson (Nebraska) DLC 3.448275862

Wow....what a surprise. The wafflers are the susual suspects. I counted the "lean oppose" people because it is a wishy-washy position to take with such strong public sentiment and such stong opposition from experts, generals, and soldiers. These people need to be called to firmly put them in the "oppose" category.

ask him why. His district no longer supports the President's war. Let him know how you feel.
