I will NOT be watching the SOTU...
because not only does the sight of this lame duck repulse me, I can't think of anything he has to say that would be in the slightest interesting. We've already heard endless reports about what he'll probably say, and it sucks ass.

If something interesting does by chance happen, I can read it in the paper tomorrow, look at any one of the 3,000 posts about it here on DU, 2,000 posts on other boards, or see it endlessly replayed on cable or YouTube.

If I do have to watch TV, there's a new Dirty Jobs, a Eureka repeat, and even a new Veronica Mars that will be far more satisfying. And there's always food and shopping channels.

1. Me, neither.
I can't stomach him, plus I have bunko.

I'll watch Webb, however, but not the chimp. Haven't done it yet, don't intend to start now.

3. Here's an alternative that's just as good...
George W Bush Speechwriter

Seeing that our Idiot in Chief couldn't pass a Turing Test, you'll get about the same level of content from this web page as you will get tonight.

4. Well, you won't be missing much.
I'm sure you're already familiar with GOP talking points, so there isn't any real reason to watch.

Although it was funny last year when Bush talked about provisions of the patriot act expiring and the Dems clapped. Maybe we'll have more of those moments this year.

5. This is what reruns are for.
"Friends", "Spin City", etc. Then there's always HBO, Starz and Cinemax. Even the Weather Channel is an alternative.

7. Just can't watch either.
Sadly, I used to describe the SOTU as my Super Bowl. But when he lied so many times in 2003, he sullied the whole thing.

It's like the Bears getting paid off to lay down to the Colts. The Super Bowl is now diddly-squat.

Symbolic of the one our country's been on during 12 years of Republican't congressional rule and six years of the Simian.

ESPN for tonight. No way I'm giving Chimp the benefit of getting a viewer (or two).
