Cheney approval sinks to all-time low

I just found this at pollingreport.com and wanted to share. It's been ignored in the corporate media as far as I can tell.

Looking at the CBS poll results over time, Cheney's previous low approval rating was 18%, in February 2006. For most of last year it remained steady at 20%. In January 2001 it was 37%. His all-time high since becoming VP was 39% in January 2002.

In light of the revelations at the Scooter Libby trial today, and possible new details in the coming days, I wonder how low the DickTater's favorability rating will sink.

As some DUers are speculating, Cheney may resign or be pushed out of office in the coming year. This low approval rating may provide some impetus for that, if it happens.

With the new revelations from Libbey's trial, one has to think of VP Agnew and the idea that even the Dick might be forced to resign. Certainly we should be pushing for it.

The 15% who haven't heard enough about DC yet to have an opinion? :dunce: I suppose, like the poor, they will always be with us.

The intern Cheney then joined the staff of Donald Rumsfeld, who was then Director of the Office of Economic Opportunity from 1969–70. He held a number of positions in the years that followed: White House staff assistant in 1971, assistant director of the Cost of Living Council from 1971–73, and Deputy Assistant to the President from 1974–1975. From 1973–1974, Cheney worked in the private sector as vice president of Bradley, Woods, and Company, an investment firm.

He was campaign manager for Ford's 1976 presidential campaign, while James Baker served as campaign chairman.
