7. Looked good on TV but ...
are they going end the war in Iraq and/or vote against funding the war when the rubber meets the road? It is coming up in the next few weeks.

4. I was surprised to hear
Edited on Tue Jan-23-07 11:28 PM by Blue_In_AK
Chris Matthews and Brian Williams talking about that slur in the post-game commentary, and Brian Williams correctly pointing out that using Democrat as an adjective in that way is an insult.

6. Yep - me too...
The insult was the first thing I heard after his "bipartisanship" bullshit - and that CONFIRMED it was all BULLSHIT from the get go.

Then I promtly turned it off for the rest of my drive home from work...

10. Yes. If bush REALLY wants to work together with our people, and really
wants to extend an olive branch, and really wants everyone to get along, that's the FIRST thing he should do. Call our party by its rightful, proper, and accurate name. How can I take ANYTHING he says about reconciliation and reaching out across the aisle at face value when he doesn't do so?

16. Even "Nothing but Propaganda for Republicans" mentioned it this AM.
Steve Inskeep must have chocked on those words, but
he talked about it.

8. Yup
Right when I heard that I knew there would be an uproar on DU. And rightfully so. Even Hoe Scarborough commented on that today saying " I wouldn't want to be called a republic."

9. Well, maybe that's what we ought to start doing, in EARNEST.
Call 'em "republics" until they get the name of our party straight. I also like "republi-CONS" ('cause all they offer is a CON JOB).

11. I've got a few I've used over the years
Believe it or not, "Republigoons" often brings the most angry responses.

15. Proves they can dish it out but can't take it, like the cheap-ass, pathetic
bullies they are.

My husband once-upon-a-time said we should just ignore it... well, tonight, he's having none of it. In fact, his preferred name for the enemy camp is a slight twist on my own: the "repugna-CONS."
