"If you want a safe job, go sell shoes"
So said Chuck Hagel as he was calling for clear, non-parsed, non-nuanced, votes from his fellow seanators on the matter of the escalation in Iraq.

3. Not really
After all he was one of the Repukes who just voted against cloture of the minimum wage increase bill.

Just because he's on our side regarding Iraq, is no reason to forget that he's still little better then McCain!

6. Yeah, you're right -- that minimum wage vote just lost me
Screw him (and his presidential aspirations).

2. Greensboro, NC: "Shoe salesman locked in closet; shot at, while trying to sell shoes"
Shoe Salesman Knocks On Wrong Door, Sets Off Crazy Chain Of Events

Greensboro, NC -- A confusing shooting case in Greensboro Friday night landed a man in the hospital.

The people involved told police a guy selling shoes knocked on the door of a vacant house on Hackett Street around 8:00pm.

The salesman says four men pulled him inside the house and locked him in a closet.

Then, the four went outside and tried to steal the shoe salesman's car. The salesman kicked his way out of the closet and used a lamp to smash his own car window as the four tried driving away and that's when they backed into a tree.

Seconds later, one of the men in the car shot at the salesman, but hit one of his buddies instead.

That gunshot victim ran onto Highway 29, got hit by a car and flagged down another car for a ride to the hospital.

But the first driver to stop refused to help him.
The second driver took him to a grocery store where he called for help.

Police are still trying to figure out who will get charged.

5. That's easy.

All four get charged with assault, battery, kidnapping and theft of the auto. They also probably get charged with trespassing and breaking & entering the vacant building.

The guy shooting at the salesman gets charged with attempted murder.

Charge the drivers with nothing in this particular incidence because, frankly, who cares?

And if this is a Three-Strikes state put the shoorter in jail for the rest of their lives even if this is his first arrest because this single arrest involved three violent crimes. I don't make insane laws. I just fight against them.

Now, a man jumps off the roof of a 34 story building to commit suicide. In the meantime another man fires a gun out his 23rd floor window in that building accidently striking the jumper and killing him before he impacts the ground. Why was the shooter charged with murder 1?
