6. Yes. Today in DC shows just how much it mattes to America.
PBS carried news of the protest and when I heard the chanting through the radio and it gave me chills. It brought back memories of, "Hell no! We won't go!" That's when the tears started. How the HELL can we be this kind of a situation again? Didn't we learn anything from Vietnam? It's almost surreal in the most nightmarish way. Poor Senator Kerry, this truly must be devestating for him. I'm sure it is for all the men who lived through the Hell of Vietnam. Just my own reaction to hearing the protests brought it all back for me and I was only a teen at the time. It affected the psyche of the entire nation and now we are in a situation that in many ways is even worse. We haven't lost as many lives but there is the terror of a war with Iran looming on the horizon. The Middle East is a giant power keg and we've just lit the fuse.
