What do you think of this ticket--McCain Lieberman???
One ofthe the MSM talk shows this a.m. Joe Lieberman
stated he could vote for a Republican this time because
the stakes are so high(War, Terrorism, Iran etc)

At Fox News Sunday they were discussing Lieberman and
some of the more serious commentators said. Yes,
Lieberman could support a Republican especially if
McCain put him (Lieberman) on the ticket. Another
chimed in with'This would be the Republican Dream
Ticket."

What do you think???

3. Bring it on howerer...
If this is a Lieberman planted story we had better have Reid do his "horse wisperer" technique on
some Snow or Collins because that's the end of us in the Senate. Lieberman is a man of few principles
and he's capable of treachery, I believe. Maybe it's just more Fox Fake News (like the Obama story).

13. I heard the part where Lieberman
said he could vote for a Republican this time.

The passion with which he said this made me think
he will vote Republican.

I do not know but i have the feeling he may be frustrated
with the Democrats unifying behind the Non-Bin ding
Resolution against Bush's Plan.

Lieberman might help McCain with the base of Repulican
Party. Could hurt McCain in the General Election.
My Opinion.

8. I think they're underestimating terribly.
First, just in the same way that no progressive or "aware" Democrat would vote for Lieberman, no ultra-conservative would vote for McCain. They simply don't trust him. Too wishy-washy on Republican values, in the same way that Lieberman is wishy-washy on Democratic ones.

The only people who would like that combination, are solid, in the middle Centrist. I'm left of Center, so I think it's poison.

IMO, there is no republic dream team acceptable to the nation. Not now. Not for the next generation. The chimp has sealed the republics fate.

The majority of Americns want out of Iraq. This "lame team" wants to stay in. What is msm playing at here?

Left & Right vote in the primaries, not the squishy center (who may or may not like mccain anymore).

Anyhoo, you're forgetting one thing: the nominee makes his VP selection after getting the nomination.

23. It will also work if ...
the Congress doesn't end the Iraqi war by approving the 2008 Iraq supplemental coming up shortly.

This will guarantee a continuation of the war up to the 2008 elections.

24. I'll be voting for the Democratic candidate
So I don't think much of the Republican ticket by default. Especially since this "Republican Dream Ticket" would be a pro-war ticket. I think we'd win easily.

The idea being that they could neutralize Obama's strength in building bridges and diplomacy with symbolic bipartisanship.

Won't happen though...Republicans use Lieberman to attempt to divide Democrats...however Lieberman no longer has credibility as a Democrat...so being the VP candidate would do no good!

30. I think that's exactly the ticket Lieberman's hoping for.
What do I think?

YEEEEUCK.

I don't know if McCain is still such a shining star in the GOP, either. He's going to be under full attack, as he's now being touted as their frontrunner. It will be interesting to see how he handles that.

But Joe? I'm more and more convinced this is what he's pinning his hopes on. More of his overblown ego, deciding that what the country really needs is him.

The GOP hate McCain and the Dems hate Holy Joe.

Maybe they could get Lyndon LaRouche to endorse them.

I've noticed for awhile that Joe has been conditioning people for his move to the Republicans. I think he hopes for the VP nod.

I hope the GOP is stupid enough to bless that ticket!

33. How soon everyone forgets that Kerry courted McCain for his VP nominee in 2004
Anyway, Lieberman as a VP part of the Repuke ticket shouldn't be any surprise if it happened, considering he's a Republican at heart, at least when it comes to foreign policy and war mongering.
