I think that senators who are running for the White House
should not chair any committees.

Yes, of course, they have the interests of the country on their mind - at either position - but... these are supposed to be two separate branches of government and one has to wonder how they change their opinions when their goal is different.

I also think that it would be nice if all senators who want to be president follow the example of John Edwards from 2004 and open their seat in their state primaries - if they are up for re-election at the same year that they are running for president. Take their chances - win or lose.
