I admit it...There's no difference between the Democratic Party and the republikkanners

I mean here's a list of what House Democrats accomplished in their first 100 hours in the House:

1. The Energy Bill. This bill will recoup billions of dollars in royalties that oil companies hadn't been paying. It set a conservation fee for the Gulf of Mexico. And it rolls back oil industry tax breaks. (Just like that republikkan bill sponsored by what's-his-name did)

2. The House passed new ethics reform bills to curb the influence of lobbyists.

3. They voted to raise the minimum wage.

4. Passed a bill requiring the federal government to negotiate for cheaper medicare prescriptions

5. lowered interest rates on student loans

6. Voted to finance research into embryotic stem cell research

7. Forced enactment of Homeland Security measures.

8. The House will now meet five days a week.

9. The House is beginning to look into how the White House sold the war, the no-bid contracts, etc.

I mean, come on...these are so similar to what republikkans proposed it's mind-boggling. I mean, the republikkaners only had 6 years of one-party rule. They were working on their own minimum wage increase.
They had been working feverishly to deal with lobbyist influence. Let's be fair...sure the abuses got worse since 1995, but just last summer they began the preliminary, pre-discussion stages to decide whether it was necessary to hold dicussions about these abuses -- especially focusing in on what Democrats knew and when did they know about them.

They wanted to lower interest rates on student loans too. They were just thwarted at every opportunity by the minority party who really had no actual power.

As to embryotic stem cell research...Well, hell. Their record on this topic speaks for itself.

And the republikkans were just as concerned about the missing billions of dollars, the no bid contracts and how the White House sold the war as scrubbo was, as elmer fudd was and as faux news was.

I mean, how can you not say that there is no difference between the Democratic Party and the republikkaner party?

on note:
In case you couldn't tell :sarcasm:

4. In fairness
They are also doing a lot of meetings with their Democratic colleagues in the Senate to get these bills passed.
Not every day is going to be full of monumental, earth-shaking legislation.
