12. Weren't a chunk of Clark's donors from the Clinton camp in '04?
I'm worried that Clark may not be as viable if he runs this time because Hillary will choke off his previous source of cash.

19. Candidates don't win by winning national polls.
They win state-by-state by gathering Electoral College points.

I doubt Hillary can compete well in Iowa, Arkansas (yes, Arkansas) and Virginia.

Edited on Thu Feb-01-07 08:53 PM by illinoisprogressive
she is so nasty she even threatens her donors. How nice of her to treat the people who give her money this way.
I donated to Obama and that is who my money will go to.

8. lol
Like HRC's campaign is going to say, "Go ahead and give money to my Dem rivals, I don't care." She's in to win, remember? Hey, the woman means what she says.

BTW, this is not an AP story as far as I can tell.

Edited on Thu Feb-01-07 09:56 PM by TayTay
instead of pushing her donors around. Wow, we might actually see a woman with a spine, someone with the courage to stand up and say that our kids should not be getting wounded and killed in an immoral and unjust war.

Nah, that would take real courage. Not likely to happen anytime soon.

20. Really petty Hillary!
Edited on Fri Feb-02-07 09:48 PM by AX10
She can't even clearly condemn the war in Iraq! :argh:
I don't like kind of fighting within the party. It should be reserved for when we have to fight the Facsist candidate the GOP puts up in 2008.

There are many better candidates than her.
Since she's going in this direction....

any *$#* from the GOP. He is on our side on domestic issues. He has already proven himself. He doesn't need to pander to anyone.

25. sorry...don't mean to bring facts to the conversation...but
Clark really hasn't proven anything except for his knowledge of war games. Which is fine, I'm not arguing that.

But he has no political record to prove he actually is a Dem and not GOP.

So...no he hasn't proven himself.

26. He supported Kerry in 2004. He is a good friend of Bill Clinton.

He is opposed to Bush's escalation in Iraq.

"Looking ahead 100 years, the United States will be defined by our environment, both our physical environment and our legal, Constitutional environment. America needs to remain the most desirable country in the world, attracting talent and investment with the best physical and institutional environment in the world. But achieving our goals in these areas means we need to begin now. Environmentally, it means that we must do more to protect our natural resources, enabling us to extend their economic value indefinitely through wise natural resource extraction policies that protect the beauty and diversity of our American ecosystems -- our seacoasts, mountains, wetlands, rain forests, alpine meadows, original timberlands and open prairies. We must balance carefully the short-term needs for commercial exploitation with longer-term respect for the natural gifts our country has received. We may also have to assist market-driven adjustments in urban and rural populations, as we did in the 19th Century with the Homestead Act."
