Rush Limbaugh nominated for Nobel Peace Prize???

Jesus - it it is THAT easy to be nominated, here is my list of folks I want nominated:

Skinner - He does keep the peace, now doesn't he?
My baby girl - anytime my wife and I get agitated with each other, we just look at her and voila! Peace!

Nominations can only be made by individuals, governments, and institutions invited to do so by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. The Committee keeps the nominations secret and asks that nominators do the same.

has been nominated for the Peace prize - for declaring war against a country with no valid threat to the US ... other than to the oil market (which, by the way, has posted the best profits ever in their existence!)

Mark Levin is a rightwing radio talkshow host. His program is three hours after the end of Rush's show in New York.

Five minutes into his show last night, Levin read his letter to the Committe and then admitted that he doesn't respect the concept of the Peace Prize and its past recipients (Arafat, Jimmy Carter), and further admitted that he did Rush's nomination as a protest to the nomination of Al Gore for the Prize (to "take back" the Peace Prize).

limbaugh and levin have done absolutely nothing their whole miserable lives for their country let alone the planet and yet they'd protest (hiding behind their microphones) the works of a brilliant mind and great statesman Al Gore. These guys know one thing. They can only make a living by hating and lying.

"Nomination to the Nobel Peace Prize is by invitation only. The Nobel Committee sends confidential forms to persons who are competent and qualified to nominate. The names of the nominees and other information about the nominations cannot be revealed until 50 years later."


Qualified Nominators – The Nobel Peace Prize

The right to submit proposals for the Nobel Peace Prize, based on the principle of competence and universality, shall by statute be enjoyed by:

1. Members of national assemblies and governments of states;
2. Members of international courts;
3. University rectors; professors of social sciences, history, philosophy, law and theology; directors of peace research institutes and foreign policy institutes;
4. Persons who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize;
5. Board members of organizations who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize;
6. Active and former members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee; (proposals by members of the Committee to be submitted no later than at the first meeting of the Committee after February 1) and
7. Former advisers appointed by the Norwegian Nobel Institute.

The Nobel Peace Prize may also be awarded to institutions and associations.
