2. This is definitely a stump speech.
I know some events are about party unity, but I think this one is about the candidates and potential candidates sort of strutting their stuff for support, is that right? Or no?

5. True. I'd rather see non-candidates talking about the issues of the day....
I just can't get into an election that's a year and 9 months away. There's too much going on.

8. He has a 2-yr-old and 5-yr-old?!
Wow... That seems odd.

He's clearly decided to "talk tough" -- in the words he uses and the way he delivers them. But I imagine it could wear thin if he does this all the way through. I can already imagine him saying, "Hey you kids, get off my lawn!!"

15. From wikipedia, Dodd was divorced in 1982, married Jackie Marie Clegg in 1999.

Clegg is on the Board of Blockbusters, as well as several others. Interesting to note that Dodd announced his candidacy on Don Imus--double yuk!

16. He's right
It's cynacism we're fighting against...

...if true then politics isn't a noble calling, it's a game....a blood sport...makes us fearful, we don't trust the truth, it makes our politics become small...
