British to Show Al Gore Movie in Schools , every secondary school
Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore's global warming documentary will be sent to every secondary school in England as part of a campaign to tackle climate change, the government said Friday.

Environment Secretary David Miliband and Education Secretary Alan Johnson announced plans to distribute Gore's film, "An Inconvenient Truth," on the day the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report was published in Paris. The report by leading scientists, said global warming has started and is "very likely" caused by humans.

"The debate over the science of climate change is well and truly over, as demonstrated by the publication of today's report by the IPCC," Miliband said. "Our energies should now be channeled into how we respond in an innovative and positive way in moving to a low-carbon future."

In the film, Gore warns that unless action is taken to reduce carbon emissions soon, global warming will have disastrous implications for the environment.

1. That's GREAT! How sensible! And in this country (South) didn't
some schools forbid it as it was too political...too hell with the environment and all the ramifications. The truly important thing is that we don't convert any of those impressionable young children to think like a Democrat. Go England go! First thing you've done right since you followed George into the sewer.

Try Washington State:

Proving once again that idiocy isn't limited to one region. :7

My son's school's going to show it and we're in the South.

2. also in Switzerland
Our foreign exchange student went back home to Switzerland in 2006. Before she came over in 2005, Switzerland was having massive floods. We received a letter from her last week. Switzerland is showing "An Inconvenient Truth" in their schools.

She went on to reiterate the news. There is no snow. Their ski resorts have no customers. Their trees and flowers are in bloom. She says it's actually warmer in Switzerland than in Texas.

While she was here, she encouraged me to buy a Smart car. http://www.smartusa.com/index.html
They had a sport model. I don't see it, today.

While she was here, she never drank a drop of our city water. She couldn't believe the size of our homes and cars.

She has a very low opinion of Americans.

6. Nooooooooo! We need him here!
Sorry to be so selfish! Let's hope he gets an academy award and then the whole world can share him and his message. Thanks for wanting him.
