Candidates and bloggers at this morning's DNC session
According to "BarbinMD" over at dKos:

And what about the candidates themselves? Christopher Dodd stood about 20 feet from "bloggers row," and had one of his people come over and invite us come talk to him. It was suggested that since we were the ones plugged into the wall, it would be easier for Dodd to come to us. He didn't. Wesley Clark came over and shook hands with all the bloggers and then spent a good 20 minutes glad-handing with DNC members. Kucinich had people handing out press kits to anyone breathing, but the candidate himself didn't stop by (anybody need a Kucinich press kit?). As for Hillary, Barack and John? They didn't even step into the hall.

4. But what about the others?
Clark has always been in tune with the bloggers. It was we who encouraged (demanded, begged, etc) him to run in the first place. And all thru the Kerry campaign, he kept his own blog going. We know he reads it frequently, and when he can, he writes his own stuff for it. He's even chatted there.

From everything I've read, Clark's meeting room at the Winter Meeting was every bit as packed with people as any of the candidates. So it's not like he had more time to wander around. He made a point to take the time to visit bloggers' row.

But what about Clinton, Edwards, and the rest? Do they figure they can hire someone to create a blogger community and thus "check the box" for having netroots? I'm reminded of the first time Edwards "blogged" at TPM Cafe. And Kos too for that matter. He threw up a little essay and that was it. No interaction with the participants. He's learned from that since, but maybe not as much as he needs to. As for Clinton, she's obviously too big to mess with bloggers. And I got a feeling Obama hasn't figured out who we are yet.

5. Big change on Day 2
I ran across this at dKos and thought it was sort of interesting.

Wes Clark was the only 1st day speaker to bother with bloggers' row, right? Then BarbinMD posts something to that effect over at dKos, and surprise surprise... every swinging candidate drops by to chat up the bloggers on Day 2.

I guess that's why they call it leadership.
