Economic Report: Unemployment Highest In Four Months, Job Creation Weak

Economic Report

By Doug Cunningham

Unemployment is at a four-month high in the U.S. and fewer jobs were created in January than expected. Economists expected 150,000 jobs to be created but there just 110,000. With a slow jobs market start, 2007 is expected to be marked by a generally slower economy. The Center for Economic and Policy Research is predicting a recession for 2007 brought on by slower consumer spending and the housing bust.

1. Economic quackery with Bush
An it is especially evident with the Stock Market inching up (isn't that the expected trend?} and Bush doing a preachy "Responsible CEO" schtick?
