3. Nice backdrop for his speech.
Looks great!! Must be freezing out there.

This should be an exciting speech.

I feel so stupid, I couldn't get the webstream to go, then realized I had pop-up blocker on!

8. Thanks for the heads up!
What a pleasure to listen to such a charismatic, inspiring man.

Obama: "I was opposed to this war right from the start".

I love Obama's blue tie, btw.

10. Wow. This guy is unbelievably good. I don't know
whether he has the wherewithal to go all the way but his call to America's better nature is inspiring. He will be a major factor in setting the course of our politics for the near term and that is an unmitigated plus for our party and our country.

11. Well, we'll get him for a long time in Iowa, which will sure spice up
that process. He began his visits right after the last Democratic Convention and had huge crowds following him even then.

Good luck, Obama.

13. Tweety and Fineman palpably exited after hearing Obama's announcement
MSNBC has the A-team covering this--unlike CNN.

14. And he hits it out of the park!!!!!!
If anyone still had doubts that he is presidential material, that spectacular speech should have laid them to rest. Same goes for the "But what does he stand for?" meme.

16. "But what does he stand for?" doesn't come up again
until the week of the 26th.

Next week will be "America isn't ready for a black president."

Then on the week of the 19th "He doesn't have enough experience" is scheduled.

At this point, Obama supporters should just bookmark the threads where all these complaints have been refuted and post the links instead of typing the same arguments again and again.

15. Great speech
Man can this guy ever move a crowd. Reminiscent of the great ones -- Martin Luther King, John, and Bobby Kennedy.
