Key Wisconsin Dems endorse Kerry’s bid

Expecting to win big in Virginia and Tennessee on Tuesday night, Democratic presidential frontrunner John Kerry took time out yesterday to announce endorsements garnered this week in Wisconsin.

On Tuesday, U.S. Reps. Ron Kind and David Obey joined Sen. Herb Kohl in endorsing Kerry, for the Democratic presidential nomination. Kerry and others will face Wisconsin voters Feb. 17.

In endorsing Kerry, Obey acknowledged the work that other Democratic candidates have done for the presidential race.

“But the time for preliminary skirmishes are over. We need to close ranks and put someone in the White House with a sense of history and a sense of justice,” he said.

1. Got a call from Obey's campaign last night
They wanted a donation.

Disclaimer first: I was a Clark supporter.

Dave has a huge campaign war chest and the 7th District in Wisconsin isn't in any risk of going Republican. I'll go to Dave's rallies and maybe even walk some neighborhoods for him.

BUT, I took the opportunity to rip the caller a new one about Dave's endorsement of Kerry. It was a great way to vent my frustrations, and, having done that, I will quietly get back in line and toe the party line.
