Latest Rasmussen Poll..
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Political%20Tracking/Democratic%20Primaries/DemocraticPresidentialPrimary.htm

2008 Democratic Presidential Primary

Clinton 28% Obama 24% Edwards 11%

With a margin of error of +/- 5 points, doesn't that make it pretty much a dead heat? Can we now stop all the nonsense of Hillary being the front-runner and a foregone conclusion? Both Hillary and Obama were here in South Carolina in the past week (and I saw them both) and I can tell you firsthand....the momentum and enthusiasm is definitely moving towards Obama here.

1. Very tight race, within the margin of error for Clinton-Obama.
Edwards at 11%? Hmmmmm.....

Still meaningless in the long run, and not necessarily to be trusted. But a good indicator of things at THIS moment. We'll see how these change in the next few months, and once the debates start!!

This is an exciting race, I can already tell :)

2. Repubs want Clinton to be the nominee
I don't know about the rest of you, but my Repub family members are peppering my inbox with HC email. They want her to be the nominee so badly I can taste it. They can't wait to dust off all the Clinton hate - commercials, signs, bumper stickers and jokes once she's been annointed. HC is the only way I can imagine them recycling anything.

Even undeclared, Gore is at 10%.

4. I find it so hard to believe...
That so many of Hillary's supporters can't see that. The Republicans want her to be the nominee because they know they can beat her. So very odd how they are saying such nice things about Hillary and how she is just "unstoppable" and yet blasting Obama and Edwards, isn't it?

5. While Hillary isn't my first choice
or top four or five for that matter, there is a small part of me that would like to see the Hate-Hillary people heads explode as she took office.

3. Really, the poll has been the same
for about the last month now, and barring anything dramatic happening, there's no reason to think it'll change for a long time. Most people just aren't that focused on the race right now, and understandably so.

6. Rasmussen is dropping Gore from the poll next week
While Gore still attracts more support than many who are actively seeking the nomination, the Democrats’ Election 2000 nominee indicated again last week that he has no intention of running for office at this time. Therefore, unless something changes, Rasmussen Reports will no longer include the former Vice President in our ongoing tracking of this race.
