Look, Neal Boortz, as I have pointed out,
is a bigoted moron. Why, given his history, do people still lend this idiot a soapbox, when he uses it to say things like
this:
SEAN HANNITY: Alright, let me ask you. Because, you - when you said about the Department of Education - you want to abolish it - when you said that the teachers unions is more dangerous to this country in the long term -
NEAL BOORTZ: In the long term, yeah.
HANNITY: Than al Qaeda.
BOORTZ: Right. Look, Al Qaeda, they could bring in a nuke into this country and kill 100,000 people with a well-placed nuke somewhere. Ok. We would recover from that. It would be a terrible tragedy, but the teachers unions in this country can destroy a generation.
HANNITY: They are.
BOORTZ: Well, they are destroying a generation.
HANNITY: They are ruining our school system.
BOORTZ: They’re much more dangerous. We worry about al Qaeda and we should. But at the same time let’s not let the teachers union skate.
HANNITY: They destroyed our school system, and we don't do anything. The parents - why there aren’t people rising up against it is unbelievable.
My mother is a teacher and is, according to Boortz and Sean Hannity, worse than a terrorist. Hannity wonders why people aren't rising up against this grave threat? Both he and Boortz are staring their answer in the face each time they look in the mirror: What they're saying is crazy talk.
Pure, unadulterated fucking crazy talk. I mean, Hannity said before the 2006 election that keeping Nancy Pelosi from becoming the Speaker of the House was something worth
fighting and dying for. To actually believe that - or to believe the sentiment behind the above exchange - is to voluntarily remove yourself from reality. That so many people seemingly give these people a platform from which to spew such rhetoric amazes me. Well, it does, until you realize that the official White House mouthpiece, Tony Snow, to hear him say it,
likely agrees:
Tony Snow: "The Iranian people are more pro American than any American university faculty."
We're dealing with crazy people, everyone. Never forget that.
