If Gore ran with Hillary as VP, would he get to use her money? I was thinking that might take car
care of any financial hardship Gore might encounter by deciding to run at a late date in the election cycle.

I'm afraid Hillary and Obama are going to annihilate each other and Gore absolutely MUST step in to save our party - but money - or the lack thereof - is a very real problem.

Even if Hillary were not Gore's first choice - he MUST have money to run. Would this be a way to get it?

2. But the question is would he be able to use the VP candidates' money?

3. Hi, patricia. I think Gore could raise a pile of cash very quickly.
There's probably monies allotted to a campaign for use in travel, lodging, media, and so forth for both the prez & veep candidates. Any nominee would have access to that, presumably an account monitored by one or another campaign official.

4. I was driving past Gore's farm one night and I heard a voice out of
nowhere say, "If you run, the money will come."

Jesting aside, I don't think raising campaign money will be a problem for Gore if he is persuaded to run.

5. Yep. Al's a superstar these days. One or two phone calls should get it
done for him.

AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH may take an Oscar statue home tonight, too.

Al's going to be in the news this year no matter what.

9. Al may have a wide window, just because he's Al Gore.
I wouldn't give someone like Tommy Thompson the same berth.

I doubt if Al himself ever imagined he'd be this well-received around the world.

12. Yeah, I think he might be able to wait as long as November. But
if he's going to run, I think early in the fall would be better.

6. Agreed
The moment Gore were to decide-I would walk into the living room and have my wife write out a hundred dollar chack-and this from a family who (have kids and grandkids and can ill-afford to but...) NEVER have given cent one to a politician.Howard Dean showed the model and Gore would raise whatever he needs-please Al,make me poorer

8. Al Gore has already made a lot of money on his own!
He is like a rock star right now! His book and his film are excellent!

"Gore's book, based on the film, has sold 850,000 copies worldwide and translation rights for 24 languages."

"....Gore was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his work to alert the world to the dangers of climate change."

I wish he'd decide to run as President!!!!!
