The Dog Who Stopped the War

Loyalties are tested and the senselessness of war is revealed in this family film about an all-out snowball war between two gangs of kids in a Northern Canadian village. The stakes are raised when newcomer Sophie (Marie-Pierre A. D'Amour) shows up and each of the group leaders wants her for himself. Luc (Cédric Jourde), Pierre (Julien Elie) and their respective gangs of snowballers learn hard lessons as they duke it out once and for all.

The IMDB does not list the international awards this great film won. My kids saw the premiere on the Disney Channel back in 85. We had two Saint Bernard's at the time. Our entire family still loves this film.
