This race has all but ended yesterday
This race has all but ended yesterday. When the administration announced that outsourcing is good for America. You will be hearing these words again and again and again and again on TV ads in every industrial state that Bush will have needed and lost because of this retarded theory.

11. Don't hold your breath
I could make a dictionary full of Bush idiocies I was sure were big news but somehow weren't as important as Kobe Bryant, Martha Stewart, or one of the two most famous Jacksons. The media will bury this like they've buried everything else.

14. Bush doesn't even take his own words seriously ...
And he still gets near 50% support in the polls. The tie between Bush and outsourcing is the same as his ties to the Enron fiasco - too tenuous and rhetorical to stick.

His proven lies on the Iraq War are the only thing that can possibly deny him a second term. A Kerry nomination will effectively take that off the table as a campaign issue.

15. Greenspan essentially repeated it, all part of restructuring...
Yeah, don't you just love the demolition that has to happen before all those good things?

3. I don't want to see Kerry coronated, but it's true
Kerry is almost unstoppable...but that doesn't mean I'll support him, not untill he becomes the nominee-apparent.

5. Does Kerry plan to stem the tide of outsourcing?
I don't trust him to do that.

I'll vote for him in November, but I don't think he'll do anything to stop the benefits for businesses taking jobs overseas.

8. Not judging from his voting record
Kerry has at least tried to bring up labor and environmental concerns with regards to trade. But in the end, whether or not those concerns were considered (usually not), he always voted on the side of commercial interests.

13. Which sums up what I don't support Kerry - "Well, he at least tried ..."
"But his intentions were good, even if he had to compromise at the end."

"He brings up the idea of universal health coverage." So what? Dean implemented the nuts and bolts of a state health care system, and Kerry implements a good talk about it, then tries to work in his pet corporate interests on the deal. Kerry is way too Clintonian in that way. He negotiated with the Dark Side, the Dark Side won. "Well, at least he tried ... he raised conciousness about it." Grrrr ...

19. All geniuses have their blind spots. Rove is a tactical genius, but...
Rove is also an over-reaching bully seemingly ignorant of long term consequences.

7. That is, until the Democrats' votes on free trade are dredged up
indicating that they also have been full-fledged supporters of outsourcing -- even if they aren't dumb enough to come right out and say it.

Well, at least there's ONE candidate still left who vehemently opposes outsourcing. I'll leave you to guess which one that is.

16. a bigger question is: what the hell will Kerry AKA Mr NAFTA do to stop it?
Tax the manufacturing sector? cut subsidies? Slash tariffs? Add new environmental regs?

yeah, some solution to the free trade crisis (aka, the death of America's industry).

18. "They're exporting our jobs" vs. "They support GAY marriage"
While not a tough choice for me,
A damn tough choice for Tennessee.
I care about people and know what I know,
But all of their shit works in O-hi-o.

Part of what worked for Clark was that he met the gay marriage non-issue head on and made it work for our side. I've not seen any other candidate handle it in nearly as good a way. Clark could have nullified this issue. I fear Edwards or Kerry will try to dodge it and end up doing more harm than good. Dean's attitude of "don't worry, I'll stop this bullet with my face" is not even a consideration.

21. There was never a race. Panem & circenses
A little joke to keep the plebes distracted as the junta is pushing us in nuclear war. No race. All predetermoined. Sorry to disappoint you. I bought it for a few months myself - because it's hard to resist hope and having a voice.
Example:

Media to Voters: We're trying to eliminate General Clark tomorrow, OK? Please cooperate this time. .... 10:50 P.M.
http://slate.msn.com/id/2095238/
And they did.
