Subpoena vote (Rove, Miers) set for today

“The Senate Judiciary Committee is set to vote Thursday on whether to authorize subpoenas to 14 current and former administration officials,” including Karl Rove, Harriet Miers, former Gonzales aide Kyle Sampson. “Since Rove, Miers and Kelley were just added to the schedule for Thursday’s committee meeting, panel rules allow any member to postpone consideration of the subpoenas for one week.” Will any senator give cover to Rove and Miers?

1. I'm not a betting man

but I believe someone will give them another week. rove probably has dossiers on all the gop members which include pictures of them with little boys or dead animals. The announcement will be a grandiose display of statesmenship, done in the interest of fairness and justice.

3. I'm sure one of the GOP Senators will stall this

If it's a priority for the White House to keep Karl away from a sworn testimony they will coerce at least one Senator into blocking it. I'm sure of that.
