but I think it is nasty to tease her about this. It was an accident, not her fault and none of us would want it to happen to us.

Threads like this just make DU look bad. And this is at least the third thread making fun of her for this. I'm sure the RW blogs just love it.

it lightened my day. I can think of lots of other threads that make DU look bad. Give me a break.

I just think we have a lot more important things to discuss than a republican slipping in vomit.

Surely it's possible to despise a person's politics without taking mean-spirited satisfaction from their personal misfortunes and accidents

I don't see the point of separating someone's politics from their personality. If she wasn't such a horrid, disgusting excuse for a human being, she wouldn't have the politics she does.

Yes, I'd rather see her politics destroyed but until that happens, I'll take what I can get.

The part I revel in is that it was a nasty dried up republican hag who adds absolutely nothing positive to this world. Plus she fell in vomit. Try googling "poetic justice".

Before this incident, every time I heard about Jean Schmidt, I would remember her disgraceful comments to John Murtha and then remember that she's still in Congress, even after showing the country what a complete harpy she is.

Now I just think "she fell in puke!" and smile.

That counts as productive in my book.
