Five Minutes of rush this morning
Okay it was a little longer. I got stuck at a railroad crossing on my recycling run this morning. rush told the ignorant trash lemmings who go to him for wisdom that bush is not partisan and believes being partisan is beneath the dignity of the white house so thats why he is not "going after" the evil liberals who are out to destroy him. We all know how incredibly dignified this white house is.

And for a(nother) laugh:

A young lad called up and said rush, all my friends think I'm an idiot because I don't believe in global warming. You go boy, you be proud of that conservative value, ignorance. You shout out to your fellow idiots on right wing hate radio that you are proud to be a fellow idiot.

1. I always get a chuckle at how people who post about Rush, Hannity, et. al.
always start out with what they were doing while listening and sometimes offer an excuse for doing so! LOL! I can't listen to those people because I'm afraid I'd have an anurism. My husband, God help him, listens to them, though, and everytime he pops off with something that sounds even remotely close to a RW talking point, I ask him if he's "been listening to that shit again?"

"What shit?" he says.

I say, "That Rush shit."

"Well, I couldn't find the comedy channel today, for some reason," he says.

2. I only listen to him
if I'm out and about in my old pickemuptruck. We used to get AAR but the right wing behemoth radio station in New Orleans bought the station AAR was on and broadcasts reruns of its previous programming on the other station. No need for a fairness doctrine. None at all.

3. A Christian company bought our AAR station. We got a new one, but
it's really not as good as the original. I have XM now, so it's not a problem. I get the real thing.

5. Tell me about it Boss
We had Ed Schultz here in the Hampton Roads area for a few short months, but the station that ran him changed over to Fox Sports, and then went back to right-wing hate.

Now we have 790 WNIS with Boortz, Rush, Hannity, Savage...and of course, the pre-requisite local wing-nut morning host - a good Sports Network 1310, and 850 WTAR which "counters" Rush with O'Reily and Glen Beck.

I swear, if you were an alien that landed in Norfolk, VA, you'd think that 98% of the country was "brown-shirted, wing-nut neo-cons".

Some people, who don't spend much time in their cars, don't get the appeal of talk radio. Sometimes, music gets boring, you need a traffic or weather report, you'd like to hear the news, or it keeps you awake when traveling long distances.

It's what I've been arguing about for years now. When I had the choice to listen to Ed Schultz, I did. It's hard for folks on DU to tell me to listen to something else, when there is nothing else out there to listen to.

Hate radio survives because it's the only game in town. It's like living in a small town with only one pizza joint. You either stop eating pizza, or you get it there.

4. Global Warming is strictly Liberal Propaganda
Its an issue that liberals can use to run campaigns on and there is no scientific evidence that global warming is fact.
Now of course that is what the Slimbaughs,Insanity, and Becks are saying.
What really surprised me was that clergymen are now jumping on the band wagon and declaring that global warming is a hoax.
Now lets assume that a right wing nut first brought the issue of global warming into the spotlight.Would we still have those that disagree with scientists?
This all goes back to what my Dad told me about 40 years ago..You cannot win an argument with a Republican. And that is so true...
