I think one of the reasons that we have had so few senators elected President (only two sitting senators elected Pres. EVER) is how much easier it is to slime senators....

They voted to increase taxes 345 times!
They voted against body armor for our troops!
They are the most liberal person in the senate!

I won't be surprised if I end up supporting Obama or Edwards in 08, but I sure wish we had more good governors and fewer senators seeking the nomination.

1. I wiki'd "National Journal" ... and saw something quite interesting
an annual subscription runs nearly $2K a year ... I bet that, aside from "news orgs", only the rich really want to blow their money on that kind of subscriptions ... I wonder which way the periodical leans ... :sarcasm: :eyes:
