1. Did Laura Bush help in his defense?

2. That might, possibly, be justified.
But,

1. He's a judge, and
2. He's related to Bush

So even if it was gross negligence what are the odds that he'd be held responsible?

5. The proper question is...
...if someone else had run over a cop, would they get the same treatment? But of course we can't know that without knowing what color their skin would have been.

3. That's total bullshit.
"Distracted by construction activity" = inattentive driving. Unless you're a Bush, of course.

7. Oh lighten up, will ya? It's just a youthful indiscretion--that's all.
Those get you out of manslaughter through the age of 50, right?

4. construction activity? In the rain, in the dark?
It was dark and raining at the time of the accident, and visibility was limited because of dim street lights, Dearington said. Picagli was standing in the middle of Chapel Street near Academy Street when Walker's SUV struck him on Oct. 17, the report said.

Walker was driving about 25 miles per hour and was briefly distracted by construction activity to his left, Dearington said.

11. The street lights in Seattle are dim
and there's construction every other street downtown. Crossing the street has become an adventure that I really don't enjoy. I suspect that it's the same in many cities.

6. I seem to recall
that no alchohol consumption test of any kind was done, and that it was an unusual omission under the circumstances. Can anyone confirm or negate that?

8. I can't confirm it, but I can subjectively assume it to be true and pass it around as a rumor.
I'm not being facetious here. I really think we should do this.

9. In Texas, that's capital murder.
Murder of a law enforcement officer, if you know they are (ferinstance, they yelled "Police"!).
capital murder is ABOVE first degree murder. In Texas it's either life in prison or the death penalty.

I think vehicular manslaughter is first degree, not sure, I think it's 5 to 99 years or life. Maybe it's negligent homicide, not sure. IF it's second degree, it's 2 to 20.

Toss a DUI on top of that and you got deep shit.

But if you are a Bush, none of the above applies.

12. No ticket? Shades of LauraKillerBush who killed her lover?
Edited on Fri Mar-23-07 04:54 PM by partylessinOhio
The Bush/Walkers have no respect for life whether it be a boyfriend, a police officer or an American soldier.

Just how old is this senior judge?

Excuses, excuses, excuses:

It was dark
raining at the time of the accident
visibility was limited because of dim street lights
Walker was distracted by construction activity to his left

Add photo of Judge Walker:

13. Didn't one of them also run over a nanny?
And kill her? I seem to recall this.
