Did Edwards Take A Swing At Guiliani?

here's the "gem" from the 60 Minutes interview:

"But, I think every single candidate for president, Republican and Democratic have lives, personal lives, that indicate something about what kind of human being they are. And I think it is a fair evaluation for America to engage in to look at what kind of human beings each of us are, and what kind of president we'd make."

My husband and I both thought the same thing, how Rudy Guiliani is on his third wife and his divorce from the second wife was so ugly. Of course, it could also be judgment against Bill Clinton, but then, the big dog isn't running, is he?

Here's a Democrat saying character matters. Even if it isn't a swipe at anyone in particular, it's interesting to add to the debate.

He didn't have Rudy or anyone else inside of his head, except his wife's.

when he said that cause I read on DU the other day that newt doesn't want "private lives discussed"..as if.

The parallels are inescapable: Newt divorced his wife while she was in hospital with cancer. This makes him look lower than dirt in comparison. The repukes will think twice about running him for VP now.

I think one of Edwards' advantages is that he is the most "moral" (defined in evangelical terms) candidate out of the entire field.
