I would pursue my passion and spend time with family and friends. I commend Elizabeth's choice because her passion is making America better. She's already faced the dilemma of breast cancer and won't let the diagnosis prevent her from living her life and making every last moment count.

5. Spend time with my family
And try to find one 'legacy' to leave behind. I suspect that's what Elizabeth is doing. I'd say her 'dying wish' is to see her husband become president and create change. Good for her, to work towards that.

8. Might that not create Horst Wessel like martyrs?
And create retaliations? Surely there are much more effective approaches -- after all there are a lot of criminals out there ready to take the place of any that might fall.

9. Buddhists don't have that option
because we know we'll just come back with the same set of brainless scumbags around us until we find a better way of coping with them.

I always think the character flaw that makes somebody dedicate his or her life to ruining mine will do a worse job on them than I ever could. So far, I've been right, although it often takes more time than I'd like.

After all, I have the power to walk away. They're stuck with themselves.

7. I wouldn't change a thing.
Since none of us knows when we'll die, death could very well be only 1 or 2 yrs away... or 20 or 30 yrs away. I don't worry about it.

15. Will it be Pain-Free????

If I was a woman with big dreams, and I was married to a younger man who also had big dreams, that were different from mine... I admit that I would ask him to selfishly put his dreams on hold and come away with me to fulfill my dreams. But I KNOW that I'm selfish.

If it was MY dream that my husband become president... then I'd work my ass off to make it happen, even if I wouldn't live to see it.

As it is, I am a woman without the financial resources to realize big dreams. So I tend to dream fairly small - I can't afford a presidential campaign.

But I am considering. Which would I want? Would I want to enjoy myself and my family, and not care about what happened when I was gone? Or would I want to work my ass off to position my husband and family closer to their dreams, for as long as I lived?

I think I'd take the middle road. If I knew I was going to die, I would get my butt over to Italy and Morocco because I want to see those two places before I die. And maybe (probably) the Grand Canyon. Once I had those things "out of my system", I think I could focus on my husband's dreams.

16. I'd go sky diving, Rocky Mountain climbing, 2.7 seconds

on a bull named Fu Manchu...

For the Tim Mcgraw fans out there.

I still get choked up at this song as it came out right after my partner died. I applaud the song's (Live Like You Were Dying) sentiment, though.

18. Finish my novel.
Which, yes, is what I am working to do now, even though I presumably have the rest of my life (however long or short it may be) to get it done.
