DNC searches for the next 'Macaca' moment
CNN: DNC searches for the next 'Macaca' moment

Sen. Allen, whose campaign gaffe may have cost him the election, concedes defeat to Democrat Jim Webb.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Democratic Party is hoping for another "macaca moment" in the 2008 election cycle.

Former Sen. George Allen's now infamous gaffe was caught on video by a campaign aide to his opponent and quickly posted on YouTube for all to see.

In addition to digging into the backgrounds of Republican candidates, the Democratic National Committee hopes to set up video crews to follow them around in early primary states.

1. Yeah, why bother to offer a positive vision of America...
...when you can just sit around waiting for your opponents to say something stupid? :grr:

3. No choice... Don't think they're not trying to do that to us.
Besides, it's not particularly difficult to catch them in an act of stupidity - that's what they do best. They have to lie and exaggerate to make Dems look bad, we just have to show what they say and do and have that speak for itself...

2. We have to make our own media. It's a great idea.
They have a great research team. If the regular media is already going after the DNC research team, then we are doing the right thing.

There's a way to help fund this team research on the front page of the DNC....we already contributed.
