Olbermann alert -- Keith, here's a story for you
Keith must do this story, if he hasn't already.

There are a few DU threads that discuss this, but it's not getting enough attention.

Tim Griffin, the Rove puppet who was recently installed as the USAtty in AK, seems to have inadvertantly sent emails to one of those "off-site" no-no domains -- or rather, he *thought* he was sending it to one, but messed up and sent it instead to the ".org" version (georgewbush.org, instead of .com) -- so the emails were then forwarded to Greg Palast, who write about it here:

From: http://www.gregpalast.com/bushs-new-us-attorney-a-criminal/#more-1586

n October 2004, our investigations team at BBC Newsnight received a series of astonishing emails from Mr. Griffin, then Research Director for the Republican National Committee. He didn’t mean to send them to us. They were highly confidential memos meant only for RNC honchos.

However, Griffin made a wee mistake. Instead of sending the emails — potential evidence of a crime — to email addresses ending with the domain name “@GeorgeWBush.com” he sent them to “@GeorgeWBush.ORG.” A website run by prankster John Wooden who owns “GeorgeWBush.org.” When Wooden got the treasure trove of Rove-ian ravings, he sent them to us.

And we dug in, decoding, and mapping the voters on what Griffin called, “Caging” lists, spreadsheets with 70,000 names of voters marked for challenge. Overwhelmingly, these were Black and Hispanic voters from Democratic precincts.

13. bc = bohemian club
but I thought you already knew that, and thus the Alex Jones comment?

Now I'm confused.

15. I knew the owl was a Bohemian Grove symbol
and that reminded me of Jones. I'd never see 'BC' before.

16. I understand
Yeah, most people don't realize the distinction between the grove and the club -- the BC is headquartered in SF, and BG is on the Russian River, about an hour north of SF. The BG is the BC's summer playground.

And, I live nearby (BG), and am fascinated by it and the history of it.

5. Zactly. The American people were still asleep at that point. Maybe reporting
it again might help but I doubt it. People don't like to know they messed up by not paying attention so they will say it is old news and it'll get buried again.

6. Yeah, but that was well before he was appointed as a USAtty, right?
And, before this whole issue of using various RNC-held domains for WH emails (although that wasn't the issue when he sent his email, was it? Was he with the WH then?)

8. The way to make it sexy...
is to emphasise how many of the people on the lists were/are soldiers...y'know those good fighting men and women that we are supposed to support come hell or high water...? With the VA thing going on right now, it might find a few interested parties...

17. Everything old is new again.
*sigh* At least it's good to know the bodies don't stay dead in this administration. Thanks for reminding us... it'd be good to tie this in with the whole Gonzales/"voter fraud" investigation bullshit.
