Tell President Bush: Begin The Withdrawal From Iraq

Recently, the Senate passed legislation that would at long last begin the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq. Combined with the version passed by the House, it puts the Congress squarely on record opposing this war -- which now has run for more than four years -- and requiring that it be brought to a close.

Not surprisingly, President Bush has said that he will veto the Iraq withdrawal bill if it reaches his desk. Email President Bush today. Tell him that it is time to begin the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq, and that he should sign this long-overdue legislation.

Patrick Leahy

1. Hard to believe the President will cut off the cash
It not only is needed for the US service but for all those private armies the President and DOD have got over their. I read it is up to 100,ooo. Course we do not know what they are up to and how that money is spent. We do know that Blackwater went into NO and the co. was paid like 700 dollars a day for the men they put into that mess. Who knows what they charge the DOD and how many have been killed or hurt and just what each man gets. I am sure these private military co. will have to have Bush sign so they can keep getting their blood money. I am hoping Congress will have hearing om this.

2. If we stop the subsidization of the mercenaries...they'll be outta there
tomorrow. The only principle they follow is The Principal. We turn off the cash spigot and they'll be no orderly redeployment of those hired hands.

3. The problem is trying to get a hold of it. It is so slimy.
Would be nice if some one talked to Bush about Runnymede.
