How did McCain raise so little money?
When his donors is almost the same as Hillary? Either Hillary's donors all donated the Max and that is why her 26 million doubles his 12.5 million, or McCain's donors are donating very, very little.

On the upside, Romney had few donors but got 21 million, a very impressive feat.

Obama received donations from more than 100,000 donors, far surpassing any other candidate, including Clinton (50,000); Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., (45,000); former Sen. John Edwards, D-NC, (40,000); or former GOP Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (34,000).

1. Maybe he spent it in that thriving Iraqi market the other day?
:sarcasm:

2. Well, he gets going on those long strolls of his, and pretty soon
half the day's gone.

The other half of the day is the segment given over to skipping votes on the floor of the Senate.

Evenings, he's kissing Falwell's hindend.

Fundraising?! Who has the time?

5. Maybe nobody ever really liked him to begin with
Other than the corporate whores in the media, that is.

4. Maybe his donors are waiting for when the money will help the most.
He has no reason to differentiate himself from other candidates at this time.

There are months and months to go before he needs to run commercials, and plenty of time for the other candidates to do something really dumb.

He looks dumb now, but the average American will forget all about this Iraq trip in 6 months when he can start campaigning in earnest.

I still think he's going to be president because he is the only candidate that was at the Davos conference. When the richest and most powerful people in the world don't invite you, you're not going anywhere. I think the whole campaign is a show. I hope I'm wrong. But if he's president, you read it here first. :-)

6. I'd be SHOCKED if that happened; I think he's a hair's breath away from
bowing out myself. We shall see.

7. I agree with you totally
He is showing signs of early dementia and it is not serving him well. His public stunt at the market in Baghdad was a total disaster. I know several former McCain enthusiasts and they all, without exception, think he is finished.

10. His apology
just makes it all the more pathetic. You really have to wonder about McCain's advisers and political consultants.

13. Maybe his donors are as tired as he is
Although $12 million is not pocket change.

(At least, I don't have that much in MY posket!)
