1. Daschle as VP?
Edited on Tue Apr-10-07 06:47 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
Have Daschle as VP would help combat the media meme that Obama--who has more experience in elected office than both Edwards and HRC--is politically inexperienced. Daschle strikes me as a man of utmost decency and integrity. Having his support speaks well of Obama.

2. No way.
The VP has to be tough and fight back. That's not Daschle.

6. Daschle works on K-Street now
Edited on Tue Apr-10-07 08:10 PM by KingofNewOrleans
and his wife has been a powerful K-Street lobbyist for years

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A32604-2005Mar13.html

Doesn't that kind of destroy the whole "Obama is independent from lobbyists" meme?

Not that Daschle's support and fundraising for Obama doesn't already destroy that meme, but choosing a lobbyist as a running mate blows that out of the water.

7. Well, thank goodness he hasn't chosen anyone as a running mate.
It's way too early to be talking about running mates. He has to win the nomination first.

8. if obama were to win
it should be obama/clark for national security experience or obama/freudenthal (GOv of Wyoming) to win over some conservative democrats.
