Will you forgive Imus now?
He's apologized numerous times, appeared on Sharpton's show, met with the Rutgers team, and now has been fired by both CBS and NBC. Do you forgive him?

2. Forgive him for what? He didn't offend me personally
It's up to the Rutgers women to forgive or not forgive him. I'm not unhappy to see him go because it has once again proved that money trumps everything in the USA. Imus's ignorqnt blathering was fine with the network suits as long as he made money for them but once the sponsors bailed, he was toast. Should be a good lesson for everybody in who (or what) really runs things. Once again, money talks and bullshit walks.

3. It's not my place to forgive him
That's for the Rutgers team to decide. Am I sorry for him now? Nope.

4. I never made a moral judgment on him personally, only his actions
His words were not fit to be on the air, after years of continual race-baiting and hate-filled language.

I judged CBS and NBC for letting him on in the first place.

He can ask forgiveness from god, and from what i understand she is pissed off.

5. Forgiveness...
Does not obviate the need for punishment...both are often necessary...as they are in this case...

The only reason...and I mean the only reason...he hasn't been fired before now is because he makes CBS boatloads of money...

If any normal Joe Schmo employee of CBS had used the kind of language Imus does on a fairly regular basis...they would be fired immediately...and justifiably so...

Firing him was entirely proper in this case!!!

6. Not my place to forgive
He didn't insult me; I'm just glad he no longer has a lucrative platform on the public airwaves to spew his racist, elitist opinions. There's just something about multi-millionaires picking on teen-agers that rubs me the wrong way. I guess I have an overdeveloped sense of right and wrong, and a tragically stunted sense of humor.

8. It's not up to me to forgive him. It's not my place.
It's up to the young women on Rutgers basketball team and any to whom his racist joke or comments was intended.

11. As Colbert would say, "Imus is dead to me now."
What will Newsweek--who put Imus on their cover and dubbed him, "America's Patriot" have to say now?

12. Sharpton said it well...
Forgiveness is easy, we can all forgive. But there should be a penalty for Imus consistently breaking his promises repeating the same racist, bigoted remarks over and over again. (paraphrased)

13. will you forgive exxon/mobil and the other oil companies
for polluting the planet for the remainder of our earthly lives?

Imus and other myogynists like him make the lives of women difficult every day.
I'll make you a deal, if Imus eliminates myogyny, I'll forgive him.
Otherwise he's just another cancer causing agent which me, my mom and my daughter have to suffer for.

He is, in fact, a bad person who should have been seen as a bad person before any of this if you did some research on him.
