Anyone else think they will turn over emails but not the ORIGINAL emails
My guess is they are frantically sifting through any incriminating emails and doctoring both the emails and the logs.

I just hope they miss something and get busted trying to cover it up.

It's not a matter of IF they are trying to cover it up.

It's just a matter of will they get away with it.

2. That would be stupid
But that doesn't go to say that they won't do it.

It would be too easy to get caught. Emails get sent somewhere. And after that who knows where a message was forwarded? Forgeries would be apparent after a little cross checking.

3. Faking headers is a real PITA, and doing it in mass would be too risky
the other problem is it there were another copy found and it did not match up.

4. I just don't think there's enough code monkeys in the hemisphere
Do you realize what is involved with "sifting" as you put it , over FIVE MILLION Emails?

I have enough trouble with the 250 a day I get on my Party address.

They are stalling for time, but not technologically aware enough to know they are fucked.

7. Is the committee receiving the electronic versions or just hard copies?
I would want both but if I had my choice it would be the electronic version.

I would go in to each computer and find the file. Copy it to a CD.

Emails are not separate files on the computer. There is a file for the Inbox Folder, for the Sent Folder, the Trash Folder and files for any personal folders. If more than one user uses a computer there may be more than one user profile with the Inbox, Trash and Sent Folders.

In addition, looking at the properties of the folders will tell you when the folder was created. Generally, just looking at the file will only tell you the date it was last modified.
