Question: How much of the Iraq War Funding will go to Private Contractors

Bush keeps saying that Dems want to "cut off funding for our troops."

Isn't he really saying - "cut off funding for Halliburton, KBR, Blackwater, CACI, TITAN,et al"?

Is there any way to know, to get a clear breakdown of how the Funding will be distributed? And just because $100 Million goes to the 'US Army', isn't the 'US Army' going to use a % of that to pay contractors too?

I raise this question because I firmly believe that the ONLY reason we're not having a DRAFT is because Bush is paying for a private army with our money (and by recycling our troops).

The ONE issue that would gavlanize this country against this war is THE DRAFT.

Bush is once again avoiding THE DRAFT by emptying our treasury to pay for a private army and by recycling our volunteer troops.

The Republican accusations that "Dems want to cut off the funding for our troops" are everywhere......and the Dems are doing VERY LITTLE to re-frame this statement. Why? The Bushies know that their base will NOT look any deeper than this accusatory statement about funding. The Dems need to counter this by saying, "It is BUSH that threatens to veto the funding bill....the Dems just want troop withdrawal ALONG WITH the funding."

Once again, our spoiled little boy-king is having a tantrum.
