obnoxious ads
Now that BOB ads are no longer as common as crabgrass, the AVIS open-mouthed ads must be the most disgusting wastes of time.
Even the head ache ads can't compete. One possible competitor? The ReFi ads to fuck up your financial future forever.

what ads piss you off?

1. One ad I saw on TV early this morning was right after a falsely somber
moment of the Good Morning America clowns. They were talking about how people came up to them and appreciate them being there, and it's their job to connect to the populace when they're not talking about Britney's upskirt photos.

The ad that IMMEDIATELY followed was for some new Anthony Hopkins movie and the announcer goes something very much like

"It takes a special kind of person to raise a gun, look someone in the eyes, and pull the trigger" . Uh huh, so now the VT shooter is special, 32 times over. Talk about unfortunate timing, and subject matter. The entire ad was about shooting people.

What ad just drives me nuts? The new 'humble' Saturn ads. Hate them, don't like Saturn drivers anyway, they're typically boring people. Boring ad, boring cars, boring salespeople, boring customers. manah manah!

2. The ads that bug me lately are for the Panasonic portable computers.
They use a Boston song...Brad Delp singing "All I want is to have my peace of mind." The voice of a man who committed suicide just a short time ago doesn't seem to be the best choice for singing those words right now.

3. Panasonic doing portable computers?
I'm even wondering if the ad exec who chose that was sending a message on purpose.
