Former US Senator Mark Dayton announced he is running for Governor of MN next term
He came and spoke to our class about issues facing the elderly. It seems a bit premature, and I don't think he meant it as an official announcement (I don't know that a class of 30 law students is the best forum for such an announcement) but he said the words. He seems to be a nice guy, and he is very passionate about caring for the elderly, which is my passion as well (during his term as a Senator, he donated his entire salary to the Minnesota Senior Federation). He'd get my vote.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great guy personally. But he's possibly one of the worst public communicators I've ever seen. The DFL is developing a pretty deep bench for 2010, I think somebody else should give it a whirl.
