7. I don't know that he's ever worked in private practice...

He's been a federal appeals judge forever, and before that he was a U.S. Attorney. He at least is somewhat in a position to bitch about government salaries.

5. They should require the same thing as Congress Critters

If there is a raise it is only for new Supreme Court Justices. SCJ that are already sitting on the bench keep the salary that was in effect when they were sworn into office.
