Democrats need to cut to the chase
--- And unfortunately for the nation, that means post-2008 election. But that doesn't mean they can't do their serious talking now,..... they just cannot publicize it.

--- The democrats should send an appointed committee down the street to the White House,.. much as the GOP delegation which informed Nixon he had to resign,.... and give Bush some straight talk. No witnesses,... no tapes,... absolute privacy.

--- They should tell him that, if he makes it through to the election of 2008, his troubles will just be beginning. No comfortable retirement at Crawford. Every legal device (including the Patriot Act) will be thrown at him. He could end up at Gitmo. He will have no Secret Service protection unless he pays for it at the rate of ten times the cost. There will be no peace,... they will hound him into Hell.

--- Similar arrangements should be made for Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rove and Feith,... but without any negotiations. The democrats need to privately convey to Bush that, after the election, they are going to make him wish he had never been born,... that they are going to fucking TORCH the neocons.

--- That's what a good businessman would do.

1. He might react by having the Democratic leadership assassinated
and martial law declared.

You can't out-psycho a psycho - not until he's out of office.

2. "...can't out-psycho a psycho?"
--- But you can allow yourself to be intimidated by one?

--- Goddamn it,.... there has never been a situation quite like this in American history. Our circumstances call for measures which we haven't seen for a couple hundred years. Our governors need to inform the "president" that they will not abide by his claims on the National Guard,.. nor will they humor any attempts at martial law declarations. The Pentagon needs to privately tell the little bastard the same thing,... and also that they won't be attacking Iran without appropriate Congressional direction.

--- The people have to take the government away from Bush. They don't have to impeach him,.. they don't have to do anything, except ignore him.

5. I can't disagree. I don't like this one bit.

I hate and despise the little fuckhead and the fact that no one of any consequence EVER EVEN TALKS BACK TO HIM!! What the FUCK is THAT about?

I think we've all been deeply afraid of him and what he'll do to us if we don't give him what he wants. THAT'S why enough people voted for him again in 2004 to make it close enough to steal again. Wasn't their REAL message, "Vote for us or we'll do VERY BAD THINGS to you."?

But now the fear is lifting. Voices are rising. I feel hope stirring, underneath the rage, the horror, the shock, the disbelief, and the shame. I sense that others feel the same.

4. I'd like to try your breakfast cereal, Mags,......
--- But don't mislead Mr. Sagle into thinking he is weird. He's pretty mainstream, if you ask me. Sanctimonious outrage mysteriously quelled by fear of action. Tom Paine had a great expression for this. Remember it? (I know you do)

6. It's always fun to dream
Unfortunately I just don't see it happening. I believe the whole lot of them are corrupt, and their actions criminal. I want to see them behind bars as much as the next person, but it won't happen.

7. I think you're right, Alacrat
--- Particularly about the corruption part. But I do not believe that a judgeship, for example, confers immortality.

--- The RULE in a true democratic society should be that getting in the way of the peoples' will is an automatic death warrant.

8. I agree
The key word is "TRUE" democratic society. I believe we lost that a long time ago. What we have now is smoke and mirrors in an attempt to make people believe we have a true democracy. Far to many sheep are buying it.
