An observation on a posturistic change spreading among pols .....
Posture is so often telling.

Stand erect and appear confident.

Slouch and appear timid or lazy or disinterested.

The volume and stridence with which one speaks is a part of this.

The Republics seem, of late, to embraced the Spinal Tap logic toward the volume employed when they deliver their talking points ...... they're all on 'Eleven', thinking, no doubt, that more volume makes them more believable.

They never used to do this. What they did was simply talk over any 'debate' host or opponent. Now they tend to sound, not so much louder, but more shrill, more squeaky, their voices venturing into the higher octaves.

One Louder ..... indeed.
