The local newspaper, The Morning News Tribune has turned into a RW toady
I had always thought this paper was a least 50/50. This last year I see more RW editorals than LW. This am gave me some light as to how the RW think of those on the Left. One of the editorals is by Nicholas D. Kristof, a New York Times columnist entitled DOES US WANT DEMOCRACY OR ROYALTY? In it he talks about if Hillary Clinton gets the presidency that it is tantamount to keeping the position in famalies which would resemble royalty. What in the hell does he think the Bushies are? Father, son and now they are trying to get the Florida Bush set up for the presidency (the scandal surrounding that Bush seems not to bother the righties..makes you wonder if morality only applies to Demos). To get to the point the RW must think the average American is stupid. Clinton family had one member as president, the Bush family is working on #3. As far as royalty, Clinton came from the bottom up while the Bushies have always had a silver spoon in their mouths. The less educated the poor are the less likely they will question stuff like this, no wonder Mr. Bush cut Pell Grants! The lowly peon just might get uppity when he has too much knowledge!

2. That editorial ran in the Pasadena paper too; it was weird that ther Bushes
were barely mentioned. And I would sure like to know whether Kristof wrote a similar column leading up to the 2000 election; somehow I doubt it.
