Richardson's Latest Ad
This is Bill Richardson's latest ad. Do you think it will be effective?
I think he would appeal to those who don't like Hillary, and think Obama has limited experience.

2. Thanks for posting!
Impressive ~ well done visually, shows a very capable and likeable Richardson, and makes the changes in New Mexico (a state I personally love) seem very exciting. Cool combination of old and new ~ cowboys and high-tech ventures, plus the movies!

3. Someone I Know Had a Different Take
They felt there was too much focus on the obnoxious interviewer and Richardson's message would be lost. I didn't see that. Actually, I saw the obnoxious interviewer as the "typical" voter and thought Richardson came across in a way in which the public would get the message.

5. I Guess Not. LOL
The last one I saw was Richardson as a candidate for a job, which he appears to be overqualified for, compared to the moron we now have!

11. The obnoxious interviewer is there to make Richardson look modest.
Instead of Richardson tooting his own horn as my mother used to say, the bored interviewer actually spouts off most of Richardson's record and achievement.

I like it. Very clever.

8. Do you think Richardson as VP or president can win Florida?
I don't really think so, I think Florida is solid Red and the Hispanics aren't enough to give it to Richardson.

9. Election problems aside, Florida is far from solid red
Here are the elections of 88,92,96,00 and 04. This is a measurement compares each state to the national average in that election. For example, 19r means that NH voted 19% more Repub than the national average. Florida is less red than it used to be.

And FWIW, if Kerry would have won 13% more of the hispanic vote in NV, he would have won it. I am not sure how much of a boost richardson would get from hispanics, but he is extremely popular in NM, which has the largest hispanic population in the US. It is also a swing state we need to win. If our 08 ticket wins all the Kerry states plus New Mexico, Nevada and Virginia, we could win without Ohio or Florida.

WEAK DEM
New Hampshire: 19r, 4r, 1r, 2r, 4d
Wisconsin: 11d, 1r, 2d, 1r, 3d
Iowa: 18d, 1d, 2d, 1r, 2D
New Mexico: 3d, 3d, 1r, 1r, 2D

WEAK REP, TRENDING DEM
Nevada: 13r, 3r, 8r, 4r, 1r
Colorado: 1r, 1r, 10r, 9r, 3r

LIKELY REP, TRENDING DEM
Virginia: 13r, 10r, 10r, 9r, 6r

LIKELY REP
Florida: 15r, 8r, 3r, 1r, 3r
Ohio: 3r, 4r, 2r, 4r, 1d
Missouri: 4d, 5d, 2r, 4r, 5r
Arkansas: 6r, 12d(Clinton P), 8d (Clinton P), 6r, 7r

10. He has one of the best resumes for Florida.
Besides being Hispanic, Richardson is conservative on gun control and violent crime. That'll appeal to the panhandle voters. He's got the best policy on immigration reform. He has promoted one that combines border security with earned citzenship for undocumented workers and a guest worker program with real standards for worker rights. He also is well liked by the Latin American countries. He wants to reach out and improve relations with Venezuala and Cuba. His main problem is that his name recognition is low. Most folks down here haven't heard much about him unless they're political junkies. I think he would run as the strongest of our candidates against any of the Repugs in Florida.

13. Terrific ads: LOL funny and memorable
I've been impressed with what I've seen of Richardson. I think he'd make a fantastic President, though right now I'm a Kucinich supporter.

Any of the Democratic candidates strike me as being more in touch with reality than any of the Repubs, so I'll undoubtedly support the primary winner come November 2008, but I'd be positively ecstatic if it were Richardson.
