Political Limericks
Our Constitution now just a memento
They embrace the new torture tempo
Usurp the purpose
Of habeas corpus
Enforcing their laws Ex post facto

Folks that were struck by Katrina
Awaited the fellas from FEMA
Pundits told the irate
It's the city and state
But sent, the responders to Atlanta

The president reacted to SF in 08
Sending food from DC by freight
Army arriving by noon
Next day supplies boon
A disparity of years ninety eight

Who promotes, that our freedoms impair
Or trades red gold for black, some declare
Shares name of the sire
More power his desire
A fortunate son, with an Nero ian flair

Stay the course's echo is seen
In Carry On's similar sheen
But we will await
This phrase's fate
And see if it's just more Mr. Bean

To patriots it is really absurd
Taking these men at their word
When power corrupts
Mans evil erupts
And freedom may well be interred

Sorry but there is no belief
In this commander and chief
November we said
He's off in the head
And fills the nation with grief

The truth is now starting to seep
Those who fight wars on the cheap
Allowed no debate
Too little too late
Causing many more mothers to weep

Drunk, on the trappings of power
Exposed, the people would sour
But he has a friend
In which he depends
To mask s**t, with scent of a flower

We salute our right of free speech
Though many decry it a breach
Defaming Dubya
They quickly mug ya
It's concept is out of their reach

One of the things hardest to bare
Is knowing our leaders don't care
Whole, an asset
Not, a bad debt
Despite the sound bytes they blare

"I'm heterosexual" from Hazzard is heard
And fantasies from the realm of absurd
Though he liked Meth
And fellas named Seth
After three weeks of ink blots he's cured

Many say that Dubya's insane
To others he is just out to gain
But while digging deep
Too far did he seek
Picked a bugger the size of his brain

1. A Few More
They offered scientists what we call a bribe
To punch holes into what's written inside
The report they wrote
And make it a joke
From the Institute of American Enterprise

Pearl Harbor as said by P-NAC
Aided by the Anthrax attack
Bought a new season
The absence of reason
And set-up the latest Bushwhack

Chess play by corps like Exxon
Look at our soldiers as pawns
Loosing our pieces
For oil and greases
As blood keeps flowing along

When will our freedoms arise
Above fear's compromise
What we will loose
Is freedom to choose
And lead to this country's demise
