Finally! Something Right Hillary Haters and Left Hillary Haters can share!
She is the world’s most controversial former First Lady, and, as a woman who dared to enter the policy arena instead of playing it safe doing charity work, she’s inspired a lot of passion on both sides. For all those who’d like to stick it to her, here’s your chance.

The Hillary Clinton Voodoo doll!

Your last resort!

2. If I view her candidacy with some trepidation, that is not the same as wanting a voodoo doll of her
I reject your premise that "left" people can be lumped in with the "right". If anything, "centrists" are a LOT closer to them, on the spectrum, than those on the left.

I reject your premise out of whole cloth and I identify this thread as intentional flamebait.

4. I reject your rejection of my premise.
The left is closer to the right when it comes to disdain of all things Clinton.

14. frankly, I find your paranoia about the "left" quaint
it says more about you than perhaps you intend.

3. She was on
the MSNBC morning show with Joe Scarborough last week. I thought it was one of the best presentations that I've seen/heard from Senator Clinton. She seemed relaxed and was definitely on target.

Though I haven't decided which candidate I will vote for in the primary, I think that if this side of her is put forward, she will be very hard to beat. Of course, the people who are opposed to her in the primaries tend to be focused on her stance on Iraq, while the republican right opposes her despite her position on Iraq. Maybe one doll will not meet everyone's needs.

5. Also a George W. Bush Voodoo Kit. Happy Mother's Day, Mom!
More fun than flowers!

George W. Bush has been sticking it to the American people for over 6 years. And now it’s your turn to stick it to him! Whether you want to make “Dub-ya” pay for the sins of his administration (starting a war, spying on Americans, ignoring Katrina, you name it!) or prevent him from committing new ones (your guess is as good as ours!), The George W. Bush Voodoo Kit gives you the tools to exert a little political power of your own-with voodoo! Included in this kit are a George W. Bush voodoo doll, spell pins, and a hilarious and effective book of spells and other information the corporate media won’t tell you.

Alas, none for Cheney. It would probably be dangerous to stick a pin into the pacemaker.

8. Yep, she is our most hated candidate alright. That's why her gen. elec numbers are weaker
than Obamas and Edwards about 99% of the time.

It's good to see you admitting that she is divisive and polarizing. Not that I think she deserves it, but it's an unfortunate fact to consider before we nominate her.

9. How is it that if you don't prefer Senator Clinton it is inferred that you hate her?
I do not prefer Senator Clinton as our nominee, yet I do not hate her. If she does get the nomination I will surely vote for her in the general election.

10. "controversial" "divisive" "polarizing" these are right-wing talking points
Edited on Sun May-13-07 10:01 AM by Evergreen Emerald
That have no basis of fact. Why is she controversial? Unpack that charge: she has mainstream ideas--no radical beliefs. She is a wife who decided to forgive her husband's affair rather than kick his ass to the curb. What makes her controversial? She is doing a great job--by all accounts--as a senator. What makes her controversial?

Divisive and polarizing: why? The only reason she is in anyway is because Rove and Co. did a hatchet job on her reputation. They had 12+ years to attempt to destroy her. She is not polarizing. She is not divisive. Don't buy into that load of right-wing-bull.

It really pisses me off when people just regurgitate the right-wing talking points rather than really investigate them.

Edited on Sun May-13-07 11:19 AM by w4rma
Hillary supports torture doesn't she? Her husband continued Reagan's and Bush's policies of renditions throughout his term.
