1. Not surprised
Florida has been pretty much ignored by the candidates, and many people don't know about Obama yet.

8. Hillary has already been here at least a couple of times
as has Obama - for a state that isn't Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, or Nevada, I think we get plenty of attention.

9. Then the ACLU is suing the new Florida over uncounted votes
They supposedly lost 18,000 votes in an election decided by 363 votes in 2006, resulting in a lawsuit filed by the ACLU.

ACLU Says Faulty Machines, Not Voters, Decided Election

TALLAHASSEE, FL - Voters from Sarasota County today filed a lawsuit in state court asking for a revote in Florida’s 13th Congressional district. The lawsuit alleges that thousands of voters were disenfranchised when massive undervotes plagued the tight Congressional race between Democrat Christine Jennings and Republican Vern Buchanan. In a high-profile battle over former Rep. Katherine Harris' seat, the result was decided by 363 votes, yet over 18,000 ballots cast on Sarasota County's e-voting machines registered no vote in the race, an exceptional anomaly in the State.

4. Great news!
I guess pounding the pavement in Florida for Mrs. Clinton is paying off. I enjoy every minute of it.

5. I had the pleasure of meeting/listening to Senator Hillary Clinton
last night at the Ohio Democratic Party State Dinner. She has cultivated the support in Ohio already!

7. I heard zogby say on the radio yesterday these polls are just name recognition
at this point.

The only significant polls now are the ones in places like Iowa and NH because all the candidates have been campaigning there.

BTW--Edwards doing worse than Mr. Undecided? That doesn't bode well.

15. If the polls in January...
...show Hillary as the most electable candidate in the general election match-ups, then I will whole heartedly support her. But if the other two front-runners are doing better in the head to head match-ups and the Democrats still insist on nominating Hillary, then I will not participate in the self destruction of the Democratic Party. So we'll see what happens in January.

17. She won't win Florida in the general election.
It's a Red state getting redder each day.

Although Gov. Charlie Crist is making Republicans angry with his "moderate" stances.

18. Indeed - but I don't think any Dem will win Florida in '08
unless something major happens. Like you said, it's getting redder by the day.

24. "Hillary is very close to pulling this primary away,"
...said pollster Tom Eldon, noting that even among African-American Florida Democrats Clinton had a comfortable lead over Obama.

Retirees from New York do not account for a 23 point lead!

25. An MoE of 5% with 8 months, 23 days until the Florida primary
Pretty meaningless...even if Obama was leading...
